The Rav balances being a “listening ear” for everyone and yet, is one of the community. He and his wife visited a girl in the community who was hospitalized. They came as friends with huge smiles on their faces. In fact, they regularly participate in community gatherings, even if the event is not a religious one. This builds our community.

I see changes in our community in the Rabbi’s efforts to connect the moshav's two synagogues, in his knowledge in advice and guidance, in Torah lessons and in meetings between the young women and the Rabbanit.
A rabbi who has been through more training understands the traditions of the community and comes with openness to the needs of the community seeking cohesion, not religious coercion.
