הרב להב חגי למד בישיבת "היישוב החדש" בת"א, בישיבת "חברון" בירושלים ובכולל בראשון לציון, "בבית המדרש  הגבוה לתורה והוראה".
הרב הוסמך לכהן כרב עיר על ידי הרבנות הראשית לישראל. שירת  כרב גדוד וכרב חטיבה במילואים.

בית דגן היא מועצה מקומית במחוז המרכז, מצפון לראשון לציון. ביישוב בתי ספר, ממלכתי וממלכתי דתי. וכשמונה עשר בתי כנסת. בתי הכנסת הם בסגנון עדות המזרח, תימני / ספרדי / מרוקאי. ובית כנסת של חב"ד. לחלק מבתי הכנסת יש רב בית כנסת. רב היישוב בקשר עם כל הקהילות ביישוב, ונותן מענה במגוון תחומים.

 

The Barkai Center for Practical Rabbinics aims to improve the fabric of Israeli society by intensively training Israeli rabbis in all aspects of communal rabbinics so that they can lead their communities to a more meaningful connection with Judaism and act as a unifying force in Israeli society.
